A Cooling Capacity’s “Data Center Journey”: Sanhua’s Full-Chain Showcase in Singapore, from Cooling Source to Chip
2026-09-29 17:44:36

How does cooling capacity complete a “data center journey” from the cooling source all the way to the chip?

Starting at the cooling source, it passes through the CDU and ring network before finally reaching the server. Behind an efficient and reliable liquid-cooling system, numerous core components must work together to ensure that cooling capacity is delivered, distributed, and controlled with precision.

On September 29–30, Sanhua is exhibiting at Data Center World Asia in Singapore. This time, we have brought the real-world application chain of a data center cooling system onto the show floor, guiding visitors from the primary side through to the secondary side for an intuitive look at how Sanhua products cover the critical stages of cooling-capacity flow.

Station 1: Cooling Source

Stable and efficient data center operation begins with a reliable cooling source.

For air-cooled magnetic-bearing centrifugal chillers, Sanhua’s microchannel condenser and integrated Free Cooling solution work in tandem and have become a mainstream choice for data centers in North America.

The All-in-One economizer assembly and oil-free, self-lubricating electronic expansion valve further enhance system energy efficiency. Also on display is a high-efficiency magnetic-bearing compressor from our strategic partner, Yaci Technology. Combined with the variable-frequency control solution carefully matched by Sanhua, our solution portfolio for magnetic-bearing centrifugal chillers is now even more complete and efficient.

Station 2: Fan Wall

After leaving its “departure station,” how does the cooling capacity move efficiently in response to load demand?

(Water-to-Air Fan Wall Heat Exchanger)

In refrigerant-pump or fan-wall systems, variable-frequency control for compressors and fans, a true dual-circuit brazed-plate condenser, and an eDual electronic expansion valve control solution—with one controller driving two valves and built-in redundancy—work together before handing off to the newly launched microchannel water-to-air fan wall heat exchanger. We are pleased to announce that Sanhua’s microchannel refrigerant fan wall and water-based fan wall have finally come together, enabling cooling capacity to travel farther, flow faster, and operate more intelligently.

Station 3: Liquid-Cooling CDU

As the critical link between the facility side and the server side, the CDU performs core functions such as heat exchange, circulation, and control. Here, the S341 large plate heat exchanger takes the lead, delivering capacity of up to 2 MW. It is followed by pressure transmitters, motorized two-way valves, pump variable-frequency drives, filters, air vents, and expansion tanks—each a product firmly within Sanhua’s areas of strength.

Station 4: Ring Network

The cooling capacity continues its journey. Butterfly valves, ball valves, and air vents work together to create a stable and reliable flow network for the coolant.

Station 5: Server

After passing through multiple stations, the cooling capacity finally reaches the server.

The closer the coolant gets to the server, the more critical the reliability of fluid distribution and connections becomes. Manifolds, quick couplings, and air vents work together to deliver precise coolant distribution, efficient connections, and safe operation.

Finally, the distributed flow-control solution takes center stage

In data center liquid cooling, temperature and pressure measurement have finally been integrated into a single solution. PT sensors detect real-time changes in load and feed the data to motorized valves for continuous adjustment, ensuring that every cooling loop receives exactly the right amount of cooling. Better still, Sanhua has solved the problem of large particulate contaminants generated by actuation wear in secondary-side control valves.

From the cooling source to the chip, Sanhua connects every critical point along the flow of cooling capacity.

As demand for computing power continues to grow in the AI era, data center cooling technology is evolving at an accelerated pace. Building on its deep expertise in fluid control and thermal management, Sanhua will continue expanding its data center applications and providing industry customers with more efficient, more reliable core components and solutions.

Delivering every unit of cooling exactly where it is needed, so every watt of power can unleash more computing performance.
